Her Majesty The Queen

Thursday 8th September 2022

It is with great sorrow we have received the very sad news, that Her Majesty the Queen, Elizabeth II, has died this afternoon.

I will send sincere condolences on behalf of St Andrews Parish to His Royal Highness Prince Charles and all members of the Royal Family.

I have allowed all workers for our parish to go home to be with their families while we all grieve the loss of our hardworking and dedicated Queen.

May she now rest in peace.

Details of Tributes and Flowers

Swindon Borough Council have set up areas for flowers or other tributes at the Civic Offices (Euclid Street) and in Queen's Park (which can be accessed by Groundwell Road)

Tributes left in other places may be moved by council staff if they are causing obstructions. We will be removing floral tributes that have started to decompose at the appropriate time and all tributes will be removed in line with the guidance given by the Royal Household.
